Jana Sloan Broglin, CG: Don't make the mistake of  wearing a silky/flimsy skirt for a lecture you are wearing a mic for. This is not wise when using a heavy mic-pack on your waist band as my skirt will have a tendency to slide.
One Solution: If you like skirts with a "lightweight" or silky waistband, take your own belt to wear - just for the mic-pack (even if it is just a strap of velcro in an appropriate color or black, as this will probably match the mic).
